The WolfganG - presented by Musikiwest

Musikiwest, making its home in SandBox, presents four  generous and multi talented artists with a program rooted in the genius of Mozart.  Wolfgang's music has stood the test of time and continues to capture the hearts of listeners to this day. This iteration of the "WolfganG" is comprised of the all star cast of flautist Katrina Walter, violinist, Rubén Rengel, violist Leonid Plashinov-Johnson and cellist Michelle Djokic, founding director of Musikiwest.

A generous grant from the  Pebble Beach Company Foundation is making it possible for our musicians to visit schools in the North Monterey County Unified School District prior to this concert. Our musicians present scripted  rehearsals where in they depict a variety of negative social behaviors using the collaborative nature of chamber music. Together with our moderator, Molly Mancina, currenty pursuing a master's degree in Applied Psychology at USC we invite the students to help us strategize harmonious outcomes to our struggles.  All the while they will hear and engage with some of the most talented artists in the country!

These prize winning, sought after artists are travelling to Sand City from San Francisco and New York for this wonderful celebration of the power of music to build peaceable communites one note at a time. We invite you to join us for this celebratory concert.
