One of the silver linings of being a musician in the time of the pandemic is the wealth of virtual video productions we collaborated on. Here is one I would love to share with you featuring the young phenomenon, Alexi Kenney, on violin. The wondrous peace tables of George Nakashima are found in cathedrals around the world. Perhaps you've seen the on in St. John the Divine in NYCity? This video shown here was filmed n the campus of the Nakashima Studios in the fall 0f 2021. Mira Nakashima, the daughter of George, a close friend and collaborator gave the Concordia Chamber Players access to the property for this project. I am the founder and director of Concordia Players. I hope you enjoy!

I had the great privilege to work with composer and pianist, Kris Bowers, his amazing crew and my string colleagues at the 2022 Monterey Jazz Festival. ASYLO was commissioned by the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary. I hope we can all see and hear this inspired composition in its entirety soon. This a a brief snippet of what an audience member captured that night. Enjoy!

We are so excited to share the works of Carmel artist Lucas Blok. The words of the artist himself describes the experience of witnessing his works perfectly: "In music, the linear time factor--rhythm--along with harmony, volume, and intensity, creates the experience. It is constantly moving, changing," explains the painter. "In my work I utilize color and optics to achieve a similar experience: creating time- rhythm, within a static image. I aspire towards a visual music."
The SandBox experience continues to evolve. Come for the music, stay for the conversation.
